Arrested for DUI in Orange County, Orlando, Windermere, Maitland, Winter Park?
In Orange County you may be eligible for a program call pre-trial diversion if this is your first DUI arrest and you have not been arrested for other alcohol or drug related offenses. If you complete this program the charges will ultimately be dropped.
If you took a breath test and the alleged breath alcohol content is below .15 you may be eligible for pre-trial diversion level one. This means if you enter a supervised program for 12 to 18 months, complete the DUI I school, the Victim Awareness Panel, do 50 hours of community service and pay $500.00 to MADD or Victim Services, and about $700.00 in cost of supervision, and your vehicle is impounded for 10 days the charges will be dropped.
If you took a breath test and the alleged breath alcohol content is above .15 or you refused a breath test you may be eligible for pre-trial diversion level two. The conditions are the same, but the donation to MADD or Victim Services is a $1000.00 and you must have an ignition interlock device installed on your vehicle for six months.
